ENERGY STAR®

ENERGY STAR® is a program of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) designed to help us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and programs. The Northwest ENERGY STAR Homes program is a regional initiative intended to promote the construction of energy efficient homes using the guidelines set forth by the EPA.

Homes that have earned the ENERGY STAR label are at least 15% more efficient than homes built to current state building codes. These homes improve the overall construction quality and provide homeowners with better built, more comfortable homes that can only be achieved through ENERGY STAR.

Northwest Energy Star®

The Northwest ENERGY STAR Homes program is made possible by the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA), a private nonprofit organization funded by Northwest utilities, the Energy Trust of Oregon and the Bonneville Power Administration. NEEA works in collaboration with its stakeholders and strategic market partners to accelerate the sustained market adoption of energy efficient products, technologies and practices. NEEA’s market transformation efforts address energy efficiency in homes, businesses and industry. Idaho Office of Energy Resources

The Building Efficiency Program of the Idaho Office of Energy Resources offers resources to improve efficiencies in community and commercial buildings. The idaho Governor’s Office of Energy Resources works cooperatively with regional and national programs to provide information about energy conservation and efficiency for new construction, as well as retrofit and remodel of existing buildings.

Idaho Power – Energy Efficiency for Your Home

Idaho Power offers energy efficiency incentives to our commercial, irrigation and residential customers. NAHB Home Innovation Research Labs

Home Innovation Research Labs (formerly the NAHB Research Center) was founded in 1964 as a wholly-owned, independent subsidiary of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Originating as a small product testing laboratory, they have since grown to become a full-service market research, consulting, product testing, and accredited third-party certification agency dedicated solely to issues related to the home building industry.

PATH is an online resource for homeowners and homebuyers, the homebuilding industry and federal agencies. PATH catalogs the best resources on advanced building technologies and practices to emerge from the decade-long public-private partnership, which ended in 2008.
