Boise Custom Home Builder and Remodeler Chuck Miller is a nationally recognized design-build residential and commercial builder and remodeler with over 45 years of building experience. As President and CEO of Chuck Miller Construction Inc., Chuck has overall responsibility for the management of the company and is directly responsible for construction operations.

Chuck grew up in Oak Lawn, Illinois and began his construction career in the summer of 1968 working as an apprentice carpenter. He has been involved in the construction of single and multi-family residential, commercial, and institutional projects across the United States – from Chicago to Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, and Roanoke, Virginia; Oahu, Hawaii; Boise, Idaho; Mount Hood, Oregon; Charlottesville and Newport News, Virginia; the Bronx, New York; Manassas and Richmond, Virginia; El Paso, Texas; Long Beach, Tustin, 29 Palms and Sierra, California; and Rapid City, South Dakota. He returned to Boise, Idaho in 1989 where he managed several building companies before starting Chuck Miller Construction Inc. in 2001.

Chuck is an active member of the Building Contractors Association of Southwestern Idaho (BCASWI). He is a Past President and Life Director and the current Chairman of the BCASWI’s Ethics and Arbitration Committee, Sales and Marketing Council and Education Committee. He also serves on the BCASWI’s Political Action Committees.

Chuck was recognized by the Building Contractors Association of Southwestern Idaho as the 2003 Builder of the Year for his service to the association, the building industry, and the community.

Chuck is an active member and Life Director of the Idaho Building Contractors Association (IBCA).

Chuck is an active member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and a Life Director of its Board of Directors. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Graduate Remodeler Board of Governors and is a member and past chairman of the Certified Graduate Builder Board of Governors.

Chuck is a member of NAHB’s Remodelers Council which represents and serves the interests of more than 14,000 remodeling industry members. He serves on the National Remodelers Council Board of Trustees.

Chuck is a member of NAHB’s National Sales and Marketing Council which serves sales and marketing professionals within the building industry through education, recognition, networking, and career development. He serves on the National Sales & Marketing Council’s Board of Trustees.

Chuck believes in life-long learning and has earned a number of professional designations from the National Association of Home Builders, including:

Chuck is a member of NAHB’s Spike Club, NAHB’s recognition and incentive program for individuals working in membership recruitment and retention. Chuck is a Super Spike having earned over 250 Spike credits. He was also recognized by the Building Contractors Association of Southwestern Idaho with the “Jim Amyx Spike of the Year” award in 2005 for his efforts in recruiting new members to the association

Chuck is also a licensed instructor for NAHB Education’s professional designation programs, including the Graduate Master Builder (GMB), Certified Graduate Builder (CGB), Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR), Certified Graduate Associate (CGA), Certified Green Professional (CGP), Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS), Master In Residential Marketing (MIRM), Certified New Home Marketing Professional (CMP), Master Certified New Home Sales Professional (MCSP) and Certified New Home Sales Professional (CSP) designation programs.

He also presents NAHB’s “Homes of Our Own” programs which were created by NAHB to teach children, young adults, parents and teachers about home building, environmental issues, and careers in home building industries.

Chuck is a National Center for Construction Education and Research Certified Carpentry Instructor and teaches carpentry apprenticeship classes for the Construction Education Foundation of Idaho.

Chuck is also an instructor for the National Endowment for Financial Education® (NEFE®) High School Financial Planning Program® (HSFPP), a nationally known money management program for high school students.

Chuck is a graduate of Western Illinois University, where he majored in Construction Technology and minored in Real Estate and Business Management. He is also a Dale Carnegie graduate.

Chuck is married. His wife Monica is a registered nurse and works in the critical care, intensive care, and emergency departments at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Chuck has two (2) daughters, Lindsay and Courtney. Lindsay lives in Los Angeles, California and is the Senior Entertainment Editor for PopSugar, Inc., a global media and technology company. Courtney is a senior marketing major at Boise State University, a dance and yoga instructor, and a Beach Body Coach.

Chuck serves on the Ada County Building Code Board of Appeals. He also serves as President of the Hidden Springs Town Council.

Chuck is also a nationally certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and volunteers with Ada County Paramedics.
